The chapter bosses are the strongest mutants found in the last part of the campaign chapters. These are some giant mutants that have some unique features in addition to the characteristics of some general mutants. They stay in a special area of their own, an environment in which a player should use to their own advantage. Their health is indicated in percentage points on the top of the screen.

The RPG works nicely on Tooth-Ache. Because of its splash damage, you can still manage to hit the boss while you are running around the stage. Its long range also allows you to stick to the back of the stage to avoid its fists.
